The Tyrone Hospital medical staff donated $500 to the Tyrone Hospital Development Council’s fifth annual Tree of Light.
The hospital’s medical staff has supported the Tree of Light since its inception five years ago. Donations to the Tree of Light will be combined with other funds raised by the Development Council and used to purchase a teleradiology system for Tyrone Hospital. The teleradiology system will allow the hospital to transmit digital diagnostic images, such as CT scans and MRI images, to physicians via the internet.
This will give the hospital greater access to physicians who can interpret test results and also provide patient test results more quickly during evening and weekend hours.
Gathered around a tree of light which shows angels displaying the names of deceased loved ones, those living who are being honored, and social/civic groups and businesses being honored are representatives of the Tyrone Hospital medical staff, front row, from left: Michael Halter, D.O., Family Medicine; Victor Santillan, M.D., General Medicine and General Surgery; Thomas Mollo, DPM, Podiatry; Ramesh Agarwal M.D., Ear, Nose and Throat.
Standing: Walter S. Van Dyke, CEO at Tyrone Hospital; Jerome DeJulia, M.D., Internal Medicine; Jason Henninger, D.O., Family Medicine; Donald Miller, DMD, Dentistry; Bernard DiGiacobbe, M.D., Radiology and Randy Miles, Sr., Chairman of the Tyrone Hospital Development Council.
Donations to the Tree of Light may be made through December 31. Forms are available for pick-up in the hospital’s main lobby or by calling 684-1255 ext. 539.
