The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office has announced the arrests of five people stemming from a drug bust on Thursday evening in the Tipton area.
A press release from the AG’s office said the operation consisted of a search warrant being executed at 125 Cherry Avenue, Apartment 2, Tyrone. As a result of the search warrant, officers seized 74 packets of heroin and 12 tablets of Hydocodone with a street value of $3,000. Authorities also seized $1,181 in cash.
The investigation lasted about a month and was led by Blair County Drug Task Force coordinator Anthony Sassano.
The press release noted when officers were at the residence they became aware of two children ages two and six. They determined the six-year-old had never been registered in school and was aware of heroin use in the apartment.
Authorities said they are continuing their investigation and further charges are pending.
Blair County Children and Youth Services will follow up regarding the two young children according to the press release.
The following people were arrested and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph Moran. All five suspects had bail set at $10,000 and were committed to Blair County Prison.
• Tiffany D. Wolf, 25, 125 Cherry Ave. Apt. No. 2- one count each of delivery and possession of heroin;
• Heather M. Wills, 25, 755 Washington Ave.- one count each of delivery and possession of heroin;
• Dominique D. Nepa, 25, 125 Cherry Ave. Apt. No. 2- one count each of delivery and possession of heroin;
• Nikki Christine Oakes, 28, 123 Bald Eagle Ave.- one count each of delivery and possession of heroin and
• Carl Hardy Jr., 23, 124 Cherry Ave. Apt. No. 1- one count each of delivery and possession of heroin.
In addition to the Drug Task Force, the following agencies participated in the bust: the Blair County District Attorney’s office, Altoona, Tyrone, Roaring Spring and North Woodbury Township Police.
