Bellwood-Antis School District recently announced the dates and times for parent/teacher conferences at Myers Elementary.
There will be special dates and times held for kindergarten students only on February 15-16. Conferences for the entire school will be held on February 16.
On Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16, substitute teachers will instruct both the morning and afternoon kindergarten students. Parents of kindergarten students only will be able to meet with teachers at this time.
Conferences for all students, kindergarten through fourth grade, will be held Thursday evening, February 16 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
School will not be in session on Friday, February 17 for a scheduled teacher in-service day.
Also, Myers Elementary School in Bellwood is continuing to gather information for the pre-registration of all kindergarten and first grade students for the 2006-07 school term.
The district is trying to locate all children who will be eligible to attend kindergarten or first grade next fall.
Pre-registration helps project the enrollment for next year and it’s simple to do.
Parents of eligible students are asked to call the elementary office at 742-2272. During the call, parents will be asked for information and their child will then be included in the annual mailing for the registration program.
Those who should call include parents of children who are eligible for kindergarten and those students eligible for first grade, who did not attend kindergarten in the Bellwood-Antis School District.
Children who will be five-years-old before September 1, 2006 are eligible for admission to kindergarten. Children who will be six-years-old before September 1, 2006, and who did not attend kindergarten in the district, are eligible for first grade.
This is pre-registration and parents are asked to contact the school at their convenience.
This information is being obtained so a registration packet can be mailed to parents for completion prior to the registration dates.
The dates for kindergarten and first grade registration for the 2006-07 school year will be announced at a later date. By calling now, parents will ensure that all information regarding the upcoming registration will be received.
