Individuals, businesses and organizations can support Tyrone Hospital via an upcoming golf tournament and barbecue organized by the Tyrone Hospital Development Council.
The event will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at the Sinking Valley Country Club in Tyrone.
Randy Miles, Sr., Chairman of the Development Council said the event is being held to raise funds to purchase orthopedic surgical equipment for Tyrone Hospital. People who want to support Tyrone Hospital through this event can do so by signing on as a golfer, sponsor, by making a donation in any amount, or by attending the all day barbecue that is held in conjunction with the golf event.
“Whether you golf or not, you can still support Tyrone Hospital through this event,” said Miles.
He said a number of organizations have already stepped up to lend their support as course sponsors including the Tyrone Hospital medical staff, Bickel’s Surplus, Gardners Candies, Fenner Corporation, Aris Corporation, Preferred Healthcare, Metz & Associates, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and Highmark.
Golfers can choose either a morning or afternoon flight. There will be prize opportunities at select holes.
Sponsorship opportunities are as follows:
• Corporate sponsor of $1,500 includes banner signage at the course, fee for a team of four and pre-tournament publicity;
• Course sponsor of $750 includes banner signage at the course and fee for a team of four;
• Tee/green sponsor is $300 and
• Fee for a four person golf team is $300.
Miles said the all day barbecue is held under a big tent out on the scenic SVCC golf course. The barbecue will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. so people can enjoy the barbecue for either lunch or dinner.
