Orvis R. “Buzz” Collinash, 75, of 1077 Westover Road, Westover, PA, died Thursday morning, July 20, 2006 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 20, 1930 at Emeigh, PA, the son of the late Emory and Zoe (Swenk) Collinash.
He was married Jan. 28, 1956 to Shirley G. Brothers who survives in Westover.
He is also survived by five children: Doni Lynn Meyer (John) of Winchester, VA, Tami Ann Lake (George) of White Post, VA, Scott Ray Collinash of Tyrone, Lisa Louise Rorabaugh (James, Jr.) of Mahaffey, PA and Chana Mary Collinash of Westover; eight grandchildren: Michael Meyer, Jason Meyer, Sonja Marrone, Cassandra Marrone, Kala Rorabaugh, Dustin Marrone, Cody Rorabaugh and Karli Rorabaugh; five great-grandchildren and two sisters: Bernice Powers of Barnesboro and Kathleen Stromenger of New Jersey.
He was a graduate of Barnesboro High School in 1948 and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union. He was a retired coal miner where he specialized as a roof bolter.
At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or services. Arrangements were by the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, PA.
