First Assembly of God Church in Tyrone will welcome a special guest on Sunday, August 13 during evening service.
Richard Rochkind, an evangelist originally from the Baltimore, Maryland area, grew up as the oldest of three children in a single parent home. He was diagnosed as hyperactive at a very early age and spent quite a bit of his childhood visiting doctors, psychologists and psychiatrists. He would often ask himself, “What’s wrong with me?”
Richard was formerly the assistant director and resident Dean of Men at the Teen Challenge Center in Syracuse, New York from 1988 to 1996. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, and has been traveling as an evangelist since 1994.
Richard has a real desire to minister to those who are lonely, depressed, restless and broken-hearted, who feel lost with seemingly no direction. He loves to encourage people through song and the preaching of God’s word.
The public is invited to come and hear the good news that Jesus loves, forgives, cares and has a definite plan for everyone.
