First Assembly of God, 12th Street and Blair Avenue, will once again be presenting “Light the Night” on trick or treat night, October 26.
“Light the Night” is a wonderful place to bring your children. It provides them with an evening of fun, in a safe and supervised environment. There will be games and prizes, face painting, puppets, and of course treats. Candy, hot popcorn, hot dogs and beverages will be provided.
Pastor Glunt remarked, “Every year guests at our ‘Light the Night’ want to know what it costs. We want to emphasize again, everything is free. This evening and the food are all provided for, and donated by, the folks in our congregation. We ask for no donations to help fund this event.”
“Light the Night” is for kids of all ages, and moms and dads are welcome too. The hours for “Light the Night” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be held in the church’s parking lot, behind the Burger King.
If the weather is very inclement, “Light the Night” will be held in the church fellowship hall.
In other church news, First Assembly of God will be having another “Olde Fashioned Hymn Sing” on Sunday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m.
First Assembly’s hymn sings have been very popular and well attended.
The public is invited to come and enjoy a free night of good gospel music.
Providing the special music on September 17 will be: Pastor and Donna Glunt, Idee Davis, Susan Bear, David Kaup, Norma Poullos, and “About Him Ministries” with Bill and Judy Jones.
