The Tyrone Area Community Organization has announced the annual Halloween parade is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17 at 6 p.m.
The rain date will be October 24.
Registration for the costume judging will start at 4:30 p.m. at the Tyrone Highway Department, and the parade line up will begin at 5 p.m. in front of the Highway Department.

Also, TACO has scheduled its youth football competition on Sunday, October 1 at Ferner Field. Sign up will be at 1 p.m. and the competition will start at 2 p.m. The age groups for boys and girls are five to six; seven to eight; nine to 10 and 11 to 12.
Participants are asked to wear sneakers only, no cleats.
The rain date for the youth football competition is October 8.
TACO conducts its annual Radio Auction every February, which raises funds for the group to continue its many community service projects throughout the year.
The organization awards four $500 scholarships to girls and boys graduating from TAHS. The money also goes towards other community service projects such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Fish Rodeo, Boss of the Year Award, The Betty F. Simpson Award, Pee Wee T-Ball Team, a Teener League Team, Junior Football Competition and the Halloween Parade.
TACO meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. and dues are $10 a year. Individuals must be 16-years-old to participate.
