The junior high Lady Eagles hung in early against a well disciplined Penns Valley team, only being down by two points midway through the first period at Tyrone on Tuesday.
A 6-0 run by the Lady Rams forced Tyrone to play catch-up the rest of the game which the Penns Valley junior high girls won 39-18.
The Tyrone girls were outscored 21-4 by halftime as Heather Holmes and Krista Rupert combined for 17 of PV's 21 points.
Tyrone played a better second half scoring 14 points to PV's 18.
The Lady Eagles were led by Ariane Miller, Casey Baird, and Mara Hawes with four points apiece.
The Lady Eagles now 1-4 will travel to Indian Valley Thursday for a 6 p.m. start.
Tyrone Lady Eagles "B" team won their second game in a row defeating Penns Valley 25-20 in their highest scoring output of the year.
Olivia Stever, who had six points against Bellwood-Antis on Monday, netted five free throws and nine points along with Casey Baird who had a game high 10 points.
The "B" team is now 2-2 on the season.
