William A. Fowler, age 84, a former Tyrone resident and a guest at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont, Pa. died Monday, December 4, 2006 at 8:40 a.m. at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was born June 20, 1922 in Tyrone, the son of Raymond J. and Grace Ellen Harvey Fowler. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen Grazier, Tyrone and the following nieces and nephews: David Grazier, Tyrone; Linda Grazier, Hershey; Cindy Benner, Millerstown; Beverly Tilman, Charleston, SC; Ronald J. Fowler, Hendersonville, NC; and Doreen Haynie, Sarasota, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald J. Fowler and a sister, Wilma Whitesel.
He was a graduate of Tyrone High School, class of 1942. Prior to retirement he was a self employed electronics technician. Mr. Fowler was a veteran of service in the US Air Force both during and following World War II. He was of the Protestant faith.
Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with private interment in Blair Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
