A one car traffic accident occurred on Becker Road in Antis Township January 10.
PA State Police report that Merrisa Detwiler, age 28 of Baltimore, MD was traveling west on Becker Road. After rounding a curve and starting up a hill, the roadway became icy. While traveling up the hill, the back end of her car began to slide out, but she was able to correct it. Just as Detwiler had corrected that slide, the back end of her car slid again. Her front end traveled across the north berm of Becker Road and began to travel up an embankment causing her vehicle to roll over. Detwiler’s car rolled onto the driver side and came to rest on Becker Road.
Merrisa Detwiler was not injured and wearing her seat belt. A passenger in the car, Ronald Detwiler, age 54, of Tyrone was also not injured.

SR 4027 was the scene of a hit and run crash just south of the Bald Eagle intersection in Snyder Township on January 15.
Terry Bartos, age 43 of Tyrone, was traveling north toward Bald Eagle SR 4027. She lost control of her vehicle, struck a cement culvert and a tree causing damage. According to the police report, Bartos fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Police answered a theft of services call in Antis Township on January 17.
The actor threw bags of garbage into a dumpster on the property of Computer Products Inc.

A DUI arrest occurred on North Cambria Street in Bellwood on January 18.
Jamie Wolfe, age 30 of Bellwood, was stopped for a traffic violation occurring at the intersection of North Cambria Street and North Ninth Street in Bellwood Borough, at which time an open container of alcohol was found inside his vehicle. Wolfe attempted but failed to perform field sobriety tests, resulting in his DUI arrest.

A traffic accident occurred on SR 865 in Antis Township, just north of Bellwood on January 19.
Patrick Beeler of Altoona, was traveling north on SR 865 and lost control on the icy road. He hit an embankment and rolled onto its side. Beeler was not injured and was wearing his seat belt.

A traffic accident occurred near the intersection of US 220 and SR 350 near Snappy’s in Bald Eagle on January 19.
All vehicles were northbound along US 220, near Snappy’s. William Corbett, age 43 of Columbia Crossing, PA was stopped at the traffic signal and Meredith Leve, age 40 of Port Matilda, was stopped behind Corbett’s vehicle. Patricia Murphy, age 22 of Monroeville, PA failed to stop and rear-ended Leve’s vehicle, sending Leve’s vehicle into the back of Corbett’s vehicle. Although there were no injuries reported, both the Murphy and Leve vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Murphy will be cited for careless driving.
