Members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tyrone gather each Friday during Lent for a Lenten soup supper. A meal is scheduled for this evening as well as March 23 and 30.
According to Rev. Jean Jacobson, the Lenten supper begins at 6 p.m. and is followed by Stations of the Cross and Compline. The public is welcome to attend.
In other church news, the women at Trinity Episcopal have already began gathering together to plan the second annual spring tea and fashion show.
The event was such a hit last year that tickets were sold out weeks before the event.
And, once again, the public is already anticipating this year’s event and have begun reserving tickets already.
The spring tea is planned for Saturday, May 19 beginning at 2 p.m. and will include delicious tea sandwiches and delectable sweets made by the women of the church. The treats will be served at beautifully set tea tables.
One of the highlights of the afternoon will be the fashion show with fashions presented from Patrice’s Boutique on Pennsylvania Avenue. The clothes will be modeled during the event and include gorgeous fashions for women of all ages.
Each table seats eight and can be reserved for a group or individual tickets may be purchased.
What a lovely way to usher in spring with your mother, daughter, a relative or friend.
Tickets are $10 each. Interested individuals can make reservations by calling Honey Wilson at 684-2055.
Seating is limited so be sure to get your tickets today.
