Robert W. Reinschmidt, 93, formerly of Spruce Creek died Tuesday morning, April 3, 2007 at the Hollidaysburg Veteran’s Home.
He was born August 10, 1913 in Tyrone, a son of Rudolph R. and Verna V. (McClintock) Reinschmidt. On December 17, 1932 in Cumberland, Maryland he married Ruth Little. She died April 19, 2003.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Shenefelt and husband William and Nancy Schlueter and husband William all of Spruce Creek, two sons Robert and wife Francine of Tyrone, Frank of Spruce Creek, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Reinschmidt retired from the Post Offices in Tyrone and State College as a carrier following 20 years service. He was owner/operator of the former Reinschmidt and Kibler Electric Co., Tyrone.
He was a member of the Tyrone Elks and the Howard Gardner American Legion. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He was a Navy veteran of WW II serving as Machinist Mate and was stationed at the U.S. Repair Base, San Diego.
Memorial services with veteran’s honors will be held Friday, April 6, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m.
