The Tyrone-Snyder Public Library and Tyrone Regional Arts Council has a new display by featured artist, Eric Feather.
As a young man growing up in rural Bedford, Eric Feather considered himself fortunate when his parents promoted his art talents at an early age. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Eric began as a studio art major then transferred to the school of education.
“I love teaching and it has enhanced my skill as an artist. It is so very rewarding to watch a young artist grow and improve his/her skills and love of art.”
The works on display at the Tyrone Arts Council’s Gallery located in the Tyrone Snyder Public Library represent Mr. Feather’s interest in regional landscapes and include watercolor, acrylic, ink and relief painting. Many of the paintings are of buildings located in and around Tyrone and Blair County.
Eric Feather is a freelance artist and art instructor at the Tyrone Area High School. He and his wife Tracy, an artist specializing in pottery, reside in Imler, Pennsylvania.
The display is available for viewing during regular library hours. Gallery exhibits are made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and Tyrone Borough.
For more information on the artist or his works, ask for contact information at the Tyrone Snyder Public Library.
