The Bellwood-Antis pool, under the management of the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA, will open for the 2007 summer season Saturday, May 26 at noon. Season passes are now available and can be purchased at the Antis Township building, Bellwood Borough office or at the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA.
Season pass costs are listed for residents and non-residents as follows: child – $35 ($40); adult – $45 ($50); senior – $40 ($45) and family (up to six) – $70 ($85). Additional family members above six are $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
Day passes are: child – $2 ($2.50); adult $3 ($3.50) and senior – $2 ($2.50). After 5 p.m. days passes are $1.50 for residents and $2 for non-residents.
Besides spending hot summer days cooling off at the pool or taking the kids to enjoy the facility, there are also many other options for summer fun at the Bellwood-Antis pool.
Swimming lessons for all ages will be offered throughout the summer. Registrations will be accepted at the Hollidaysburg YMCA before May 25. Interested individuals can also call the B-A pool at 742-7662 before May 25.
The cost for lessons is $30 per session.
Session one is scheduled for Monday/Wednesday from June 11-27 and Tuesday/Thursday from June 12-28.
Session two will be held Monday/Wednesday from July 9-25 and Tuesday/Thursday from July 10-26.
Session three is scheduled for Monday/Wednesday, July 30 through August 15 and Tuesday/Thursday, July 31 through August 16.
Preschoolers, ages three to five, can schedule lessons from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m.
Progressive students, ages six to 12 can schedule lessons from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. or 5:30 to 6 p.m.
