An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred on May 7 at the Martins Grocery Store in Bellemeade, Antis Township.
PA State Police reported that Kimberly McCarthy of Altoona was charged with the above crime after she allegedly stole $160 out of a purse that was sitting in the employee break room that belonged to Susan Ross of Tyrone.

An incident of criminal attempt by deception occurred in Antis Township on May 9.
PA State Police report that Lawrence L. McIntire, age 27, of RD 5 Tyrone received a fraudulent check for $2,680 from AEDC Federal Credit Union of Tullahoma, TN. The check was allegedly an award in which the victim was selected during an unsolicited drawing.
In this lottery scam, the victim is to cash the check and then forward funds to the company to cover payment processes.
The public is cautioned that any legitimate lottery does not require any funds to be forwarded prior to payout of the winnings.

A burglary occurred along Beaker Road in Antis Township, in the overnight hours between May 13 and 14.
Unknown actor(s) entered the garage at the Brett Gates residence and stole a 1997 Yamaha YZ-250 dirt bike. The bike is blue with white trim.
The investigation continues.

A two vehicle accident occurred along SR 220 in Vail, Snyder Township, May 15.
PA State Police report that Jessica Reese, age 20, of Tyrone was traveling north on SR 220 and slowed suddenly to avoid an animal on the roadway. Reese was struck from behind by Richard Itinger, age 74, of Tyrone, who was traveling north behind her.
Neither driver was injured.

A harassment incident occurred in Ironville, Snyder Township, May 16.
PA State Police report that Marli McFalls was assaulted by her 16-year-old daughter during a domestic argument.

A hit and run incident occurred along SR 350, .5 miles north of SR 220 in Snyder Township on May 16.
PA State Police report that a white male suspect, known to police, was traveling on SR 350 in a 1990 Toyota truck and went off the west berm for unknown reasons. He struck several stacks of bricks, a truck cap and an Eagle CP. The Eagle CP was pushed into a Chevy SUV, which was pushed into a Chrysler Sedan. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

PA State Police report a stolen vehicle along Cooks Hollow Road in Snyder Township, May 16.
A 1990 Toyota truck owned by Jim Wenner was stolen from his driveway. It was later involved in a crash along SR 350 in Snyder Township. The investigation continues.
