Old Route 220 in Antis Township was the scene of a one vehicle accident, May 19.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Calvin L. Stine, age 36, of Altoona was traveling north on Old Route 220. He was transporting two hunting dogs in the extended cab of the truck. Both dogs were not secured. While in motion, one of the dogs jumped onto Stine’s lap and became stuck in the steering wheel. Stine’s vehicle swerved to the right of the roadway. He traveled across two private yards at 1899 and 1903 East Pleasant Valley Blvd. His vehicle came to rest against a tree. Stine and a passenger in his vehicle, Andrew Bem, age 61, of Altoona both suffered injuries. Bem refused the summons of medical attention.

The Pennsylvania State Police conducted age compliance checks at licensed establishments in the Tyrone, Bellwood and Altoona areas, May 24.
Age compliance check consist of using a supervised underage buyer in an attempt to pursue alcoholic beverages.
On this detail seven licensed establishments were checked, four licensed establishments were non-compliant in that they served the underage buyer alcoholic beverages. The three licensed establishments that did not serve the underage buyer were The Tyrone Bottle Shop, The Whistle Stop, and The Victory Lane Saloon. The names of the establishments that did serve the underage buyer were not released.

Old Route 220 was the scene of a one vehicle accident, May 30.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Judith Kovac of Bellwood was traveling north on the above roadway and fell asleep while driving. She went off the road into a field and went into a deep ditch. Kovac was confined for a while until freed by members of the Bellwood and Tipton Fire Departments. She was not wearing a seat belt.

A harassment incident occurred along SR 350 in Snyder Township, May 30.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Michael Snyder was kicked by someone known to him when he told the person he was illegally parked.
The investigation continues.

A harassment incident occurred along Riggles Gap Road in Antis Township, May 30.
Hollidaysburg State Police report that Tina Hagerty and Alfred Cherry, both of Altoona, reported they were assaulted by one another during a domestic argument at their residence.
