Steven A. Rorabaugh, 51, formerly of Waterville, PA, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at the home of his sister at 2684 Pennington Road, Tyrone.
He was born September 19, 1955 in Tyrone, the son of James (Andy) and Evelyn (Stewart) Rorabaugh.
He is survived by two sisters, Sarah L. Supenia and her husband Tony and Cristy E. Lewis and her husband Sam, both of Tyrone, nieces Andrea Fletcher and Crissy Srock and nephews Mark Supenia and Jim Lewis.
And, his ever present and faithful therapy dog Bell.
He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School in 1973 and served in the United States Coast Guard from 1976 to 1981 as a C.G.C. Vigorous Damage Controlman.
He attended Welding School in 1982.
He was a welder at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division from 1983 to 1992. He welded at Kvaerner Willfab, Williamsport, PA from 1992 to 2007.
He was an Eagle Scout of Troop 27 and a Life Member of the American Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, hiking and camping.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Dennis Gable officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
