Stolen motorcycles
David Houtz of Port Matilda reported three Honda motorcycles valued at $21,000 were stolen from his garage on September 27. State police have arrested a known juvenile and Brandon Brant, 18, State College, with charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and other related offenses. All motorcycles have since been recovered.

Scattering rubbish
State police reported that between the dates of October 1-4, Jennifer N. Brantner, 18, Tyrone, disposed of a large number of trash bags along Hoovers Lane, Snyder Township, which contained household refuse. Brantner is being charged with scattering rubbish and will be subject to a fine up to $300 plus court costs, and/or up to 90 days in jail, plus a restitution clean up and disposal fee of $50.

Criminal mischief
On October 5, state police reported a 12 year old male juvenile removed the stems from approximately 20 tires at Premier Jeep along old 220 within Snyder Township. The juvenile was arrested for criminal mischief.

Stole traffic light
Terry Brown of Port Matilda reported to state police that on October 9 unknown actor(s) removed a traffic light from a utility pole along Halfmoon Valley Rd., Halfmoon Township, and fled the scene by vehicle in a southerly direction on SR 550. Actor(s) may have been operating a mid to late 90’s silver Honda sedan. Total stolen is estimated at $300.

Crash
State Police in Hollidaysburg reported a crash along SR 220 and California Hollow Road, Snyder Township, when Eric M. Speight, 40, Bellefonte, was traveling north on SR 220 when his vehicle swerved off the road into a telephone pole. Speight stated a car that he was following behind was turning left onto California Hollow Road in front of him and he couldn’t get stopped in time. Rather than hit the car, he swerved to the right and hit the pole. A traffic citation will be filed against Speight for failing to drive at a safe speed. He was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt.

DUI
On October 11, Joseph J. Redman, 37, Tyrone, was stopped by state police along SR 4027 at Grazierville Road, Snyder Township, for a traffic violation and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Redman refused to submit to a chemical test, so he was placed in Blair County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
