Harassment/Stalking
State police reported on May 31 that Elizabeth A. Leeper, 23, Tyrone, told police that she and Jason L. Woomer, 26, Tyrone, had been dating and had recently terminated the relationship. Woomer began making telephone calls to Leeper’s residence, leaving unwanted and argumentative messages on the answering machine. Several hung up telephone calls were also left on the answering machine, approximately two to twenty hang up’s a day. Woomer was also identified as appearing at the Leeper residence during nighttime hours on several occasions over the last three weeks. At times, police said he was observed just staring at the victim’s residence by neighbors. Woomer was taken into custody and charged with Harassment/Stalking/Loitering and Prowling at Night. He was arraigned before District Magistrate Auker, and bail was set at $35,000. Woomer was committed to the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail and a probation detainer was also placed on him for violating the conditions of his probation.
