The holiday season is upon us, and the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce has planned many events for the community to enjoy.
First, the Chamber’s annual Thanksgiving sit-down dinner for its members is scheduled for Thursday, November 15 from 5:15 to 7 p.m. at the Bull Pen Restaurant located at the Tyrone Shopping Center.
The dinner is hosted by The Daily Herald, Bull Pen Restaurant and the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home.
Last year’s dinner was a wonderful meal with lots of fun had by all, so don’t miss this year’s event. Bring a business card for the door prizes that will be awarded.
The cost is $5 per person and advance reservations are appreciated. The cut-off date is Monday, November 12. Make checks payable to the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, which is located at 1004 Logan Avenue.
The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce is also seeking a group of interested individuals of any age, organization, business, etc. to help with the Tyrone Yuletyme Celebration.
This year, the celebration is scheduled to be held November 29 through December 1 and annually thereafter.
Rose Black, Executive Director of the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce added, “We need people and ideas to continue and expand what we currently offer – to name a few, a visit with Santa, craft show, breakfast with Santa, tree decorating, chinese wreath auction, soup sampling, parade and tree lighting.”
Finally, the fifth annual Breakfast with Santa is once again scheduled at Tyrone Colonial Courtyard, sponsored by the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday, December 1 at 10 a.m.
Santa Claus will have goodies for each child.
Tickets may be purchased at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
