Gerald B. Watters, 60, of Grazierville RD4, Tyrone died Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 5:05 p.m. at Altoona Regional Health System – Altoona Hospital Campus.
He was born March 16, 1947 in Tyrone a son of John R. and Mary B. (Goss) Watters. On June 17, 1972 in Bellwood he married Linda L. Carson.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Brian K. and wife Pamela of Tyrone, Mark A. and fiancee Becky Bryan and her son Brandon Homan of Tyrone, two granddaughters Shaina and Sha’lee, three sisters Brenda Forcey of Westpoint, Mississippi, Jo Ann Thomas of Scotch Valley, Valerie Stroup of Tyrone, four brothers John R. Jr. of Fuoss Mills, Theodore M. of Tyrone, Rick of Bald Eagle and Wendell of Tyrone.
Mr. Watters was employed in the Slicing Dept. at Kunzler and Company Inc., Tyrone for the past 14 years. He previously worked for Big Yank, Tyrone in the finishing department for 25 years.
He was a 1965 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and working in his workshop.
Private viewing and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Blair Memorial Park.
