The Tyrone girls softball team finally was able to play Bellefonte on Tuesday, after the game had to be twice postponed, due to the weather.
The Lady Eagles played one of their best overall games of the 2008 campaign, falling to Bellefonte 6-0, after trailing just 3-0 after six at-bats. Senior Lindsay Christine had both of the Lady Eagles hits in what was the seniors final game.
“We played well, said Tyrone softball coach Lois Loncher. “This was the last game for our seniors, Lindsay Christine, Kayla DeSoto, Brooke Garbinsky and Amber Miller.”
Moore led Bellefonte with three base hits and O’Connor and Capparellel each had two hits.
Ariane Miller struck out four and walked only two for the Lady Eagles, who committed zero errors in the field
