Prescription Fraud
On June 20, state police reported that Roy Thomas Brandt of Altoona arrived at Kopp Drugs, along SR 1001 in Antis Township, Bellwood, and attempted to pass an altered prescription to the pharmacist. Brandt was questioned about the prescription and advised that he had altered it in an attempt to obtain the prescription Xanax. Brandt will be charged for this violation under Title 35, Prescription Fraud.

Criminal Mischief
State police reported on June 20 that unknown actor(s) arrived in a field along a wooded area in Bald Eagle where Christian Sharer of Tyrone was in the process of building a hunting camp. Sharer had his tool van parked at the location. The van is a 1999 Ford Econoline Van. The actor(s) smashed out a window in the van and damaged the door while trying to pry it open. Nothing was taken from the van, but estimated damage totaled $1,000.

DUI
On June 29, state police reported that the Bellwood Borough Police Department observed Brandon Robert Saylor, 25, Altoona, operating his vehicle in an erratic manner along Water Street in Antis Township. State Police in Hollidaysburg were called to the scene and Saylor was arrested for DUI after failing several sobriety tests. Charges to be filed in front of Magisterial District Judge Fred B. Miller pending blood-alcohol results.
