The Tyrone girls beat the Grier School in soccer 4-3 for their first victory of the three-year program.
In the first half, Tyrone’s Brooke Romano and Tasha Smith scored goals to take a 2-1 lead. After Grier scored twice, Christina Dougherty tied the game at 3-3. Then with 10 minutes to play, Rachel Emigh scored, what turned out to be the gamewinner.
Goal keepers Tiana Kobuck and Emigh, who split time in goal for the Lady Eagles, made the pne-goal lead stand up for the win, keeping Grier School from scoring over the final 30 minutes of play.
