It’s time once again for Harvestfest at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. The event will be held this weekend with entertainment, food, crafts and fun for all.
Shopping will start at 10 a.m. and rides open at 11 a.m. Admission to the event is $4, which includes all-day rides and entertainment. Children three-years-old and under get in for free.
Free parking will be available in the main DelGrosso’s Amusement Park lot. Through the cooperation of PPG Industries and the PPG Tipton Works Employee Association, additional parking will be available in the field off of Tipton Road for a fee of $3. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hollidaysburg area Boy Scouts.
The weekend will be filled with entertainment and a wide variety of foods for everyone.
A magic and comedy show featuring Kohl and Company will be held on the main stage Saturday at 3 and 6 p.m.
Country artist Ronnie McDowell will take the main stage on Sunday at 3 and 6 p.m.
Other exciting entertainment includes Hubie the Clown and the Sharptones. Tim Bainey Jr. and the Aaron’s Dream Machine will also be on hand.
A Civil War encampment will be set up at the Tipton Creek Railroad with reenactment times at noon, 2:30 and 4 p.m.
Also on Sunday, there will be an Antique Auto Club of America Show.
The Harvestfest menu includes many treats for the entire family. There will be freshly dipped caramel apples, hand-dipped ice cream cones, hot sausage sandwiches, French fries, barbecued chicken dinner, fresh open kettle apple butter, ham barbecue sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, chili, haluski, cactus taters, fish and chips, crab cakes, jumbo wings, chicken salad, chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, pierogies, kielbasa, pork and roast beef sandwiches, soup in a bread bowl, open kettle ham and bean soup, old fashioned kettle pop corn, funnel cakes, fudge puppies, fired Oreo’s, home made apple dumplings, sloppy joes, blooming onions, French fried sweet potatoes and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as gourmet fudge, root beer floats and breakfast items until 10 a.m. and much more.
DelGrosso’s pizza, ice cream, cotton candy, sno cones and nachos will also be available.
This year’s sponsors include Pacifico, Lee Food Service, Pepsi and Kunzler.
