Members of Tyrone Rotary Club spent much of their meeting Monday night writing \”Thank You\” cards to men and women serving in the Military in Iraq. Busy writing on the left is Amy Stever and Jill and Scott Hiller while Edward Newlin is on the right. Gunter Volders made the cards that members used to share their thoughts, and they will be mailed to our soldiers. On Saturday, June 23, at 9 a.m. Rotary will be joined by members of Kiwanis as work crews join forces to cut the grass in Grandview Cemetery. Volunteers throughout the community are also welcomed to bring lawnmowers and clippers and give a helping hand to help in the beautification project at the cemetery. (The Daily Herald/Virgie Werner)
