Students at the Tyrone Area Elementary School recently participated in a clothing drive to benefit the local Salvation Army Service Center. Kids in K-3 through fourth grade showed their support by donating gently used articles of clothing. Items collected included long sleeve shirts, pants, jeans and outer wear, up to size 16. Consider following the example of these exceptional students and make a trip to the local Salvation Army. Currently, an area coat drive is being held. On Saturday, November 29, Tyrone Kiwanis members will be at the parking lot of Bressler’s Foodmart and Sports on 15th Street in Tyrone to collect coats from 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. (The Daily Herald/Amanda Golden)
