The Tyrone Community Players recently announced audition dates for the second production in their 2008-09 season, entitled “ Our Leap Year”.
The production is “Honk!”, a musical re-telling of the classic tale, The Ugly Duckling.
Filled with lively music, upbeat characters and dialogue, Broadway quality production numbers and a story with a message that appeals to all ages, “Honk!” is a delight for performers and audiences alike.
Auditions for this musical are scheduled for Sunday, December 7 at 2 p.m. for young performers between the ages of eight and 14 and at 7 p.m. for adults.
A second day of auditions for adult performers will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.
Call-backs, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 8 p.m.
All auditions will be held in “The Building”, home of the TCP, located at 1019 Logan Ave., Tyrone.
Adult performers should come prepared with a short vocal audition. Young performers will be taught a song from the show for their audition. All actors will be asked to read/perform from the script.
“Honk!” is under the direction of Cindy Bennett, and the musical director is Laura Harris.
It is scheduled to be performed at the Tyrone Area High School auditorium February 27 and 28.
No rehearsals will be scheduled until January 5.
