Carol B. Wike of 519 W. 14th St., Tyrone died Monday, November 3, 2008 at 2 a.m. at Tyrone Hospital.
She was born October 27, 1946 in Altoona a daughter of Samuel and Betty (Hunter) Brisbin. On November 27, 1965 at the Columbia Ave. Methodist Church, Tyrone she married Richard D. Wike.
Surviving are her husband, 4 daughters Lisa Faretta and husband Joe, Michele Romano, Kim Eaken and husband Troy, and Becky Wike all of Tyrone, 8 grandchildren, her mother of Tyrone, a sister Deb Castagnola and husband Nick of Tyrone, and 2 brothers Samuel Brisbin and wife Bev of Tipton and David Brisbin and wife Jody of Tipton. She was preceded in death by a sister Darlene Lewis and her father.
Mrs. Wike was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Our mom’s greatest joy in life was her family. Her favorite times were spent camping, reading and vacationing at the beach. She will be remembered not only as a loving wife, a good companion, a best friend but also as a selfless individual who loved life. She was the center of our family and will be deeply missed. We love you.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Peggy Bonsell and Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
