Tyrone Hospital is pleased to welcome Irini Youssef M.D., M.P.H. to the hospital’s medical staff.
Dr. Youssef is the newest member of Sylvan Radiology Associates, a group of highly specialized diagnostic and interventional radiologists who interpret all of the radiology exams performed at Tyrone Hospital.
Dr. Youssef is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
She is a graduate of the Alexandria School of Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt. She completed an internship at Alexandria University hospitals and a preliminary surgery year at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers, New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, New York. Dr. Youssef completed residencies in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers, New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, New York. She completed a fellowship in Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography (PET-CT) at Mount Sinai hospital, New York, New York.
Dr. Youssef has a special interest and expertise in PET-CT including oncological, cardiac, and brain imaging, general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, body imaging including ultrasound, CT, and MRI, women’s imaging, and chest radiology.
Dr. Youssef authored and co-authored a variety of articles which were presented at various national meetings and appeared in a variety of professional periodicals and organizations including the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Clinical Nuclear Medicine, Journal of Women’s Imaging, and American College of Radiology.
Dr. Youssef’s professional affiliations include the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine. She also serves as a reviewer for the American Roentgen Ray Society.
