Friday was a light practice. Basically we just ran through our plays, again and again to perfect them, to get ready for BG on Saturday.
This week has been the hardest week of three-a-days we’ve had since I’ve been here, because it was so hot and humid.
I have been trying to get the guys to work harder than usual. As a senior, I feel I need to be a leader for the younger guys, to lead both vocally to let them know what to do and by example to show them what they need to do.
Dedicating this season to Randy Estright is really tough. It means a lot to me, because he was my best friend. It’s hard not to have him here to go through the season with us. We have to try to do our best even though he’s not with us on the field. I know he’s with us in heart.
I think our conditioning camp was the best since I was in tenth grade. I know that we have worked harder this year than any other year.
Right now my major goal is to focus on Bellwood and to make sure the team is focusing on Bellwood.
