ATV traffic violation
1/17- A witness reported a driver of an ATV riding around the Tyrone UniMart. When the police arrived at the scene, the ATV was parked in the convenience store lot. The driver tried to argue with the police before being cited for numerous traffic violations.
Domestic violence
1/17- Tyrone police arrived at the scene of a domestic violence call. However, when they arrived, both the man and woman stated that there were no problems and that the neighbors could have heard the man yelling at the washer and dryer. The complaint turned out to be filed for the wrong address. When the officer responded to the correct house, the male was gone on arrival, and a citation was filed.
Carrying a weapon
1/17- Tyrone police responded to a call at the Epworth Manor parking lot with reports of two males waving around a gun and then leaving in a dark-colored car towards Tipton. The police checked the area but were unable to locate the males. They also spoke with some witnesses around Epworth Manor who stated that they did not see a gun.
Juveniles playing in Soldiers Park Creek
1/19- A witness called Tyrone police to report that some children were playing in the creek beside Soldiers Park. The police checked the area and found the kids there. They were advised to not play in the water because the police were not sure how deep it is.
Computer harassment
1/19- A mother filed a complaint to Tyrone police that her daughter is being harassed by other juveniles in person and on the computer. If they persist, the mother will file charges.
Criminal mischief
1/19- A woman filed a complaint to the Tyrone police that someone struck her parents’ car with a bag of flour. The bag broke out the lights of the vehicle and opened the trunk.
Accidental poisoning
1/20- A resident of Teaberry St. accidentally drank Axis bathroom cleaner. The person was taken to the Tyrone emergency department and the PA State Police were notified.
Combative juvenile
1/21- As Tyrone police were escorting a juvenile to Hilltop, he became very combative. They had to place him in handcuffs and later restrain his legs. The juvenile spit throughout the whole police car.
Criminal mischief
1/22- Huntingdon police report that unknown persons damaged the windshields of two school buses by throwing rocks and eggs. The total damage is $1,000.
Property theft
1/22- Huntingdon police report that steel siding worth approximately $6,000 was stolen from a victim near Grove’s Saw Mill. The materials are used for construction of round steel storage buildings. Anyone with information contact PA State Police at 627-3161.
