Russell Wireless, located on Pennsylvania Avenue in Tyrone, is now open for business.
Owned by John Russell of Tyrone, the full-service Verizon Wireless store offers a variety of options for customers including phone upgrades, service agreements and accessories. Customers will also be able to pay their bills at the store.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The store is closed on Sundays.
Following graduation from Tyrone Area High School in 2004, Russell worked for Verizon Wireless and served as District Manager in Pittsburgh for three years.
During that time he decided he wanted to open his own store.
“There’s no store within 30 minutes of Tyrone,” said Russell, “and I wanted to open a store regardless so it just seemed like a perfect fit.”
Russell, the son of Dave and Melissa Russell, decided to bring his business idea to Tyrone and in March, along with his father, who also happens to be his business partner, he began working on that dream.
In honor of the store’s grand opening, customers will be able to take advantage of 30 percent off all accessories and the free phone specials being offered.
So, stop at Russell Wireless to sign up for a new Verizon Wireless plan; upgrade an existing plan; purchase discounted accessories; pay your Verizon Wireless bill; add minutes to a prepaid phone or to get low cost replacements for broken or lost phone.
Interested individuals can also ask about the business plans that are offered.
