Those darn deer
2/20 – While on routine patrol, Tyrone police report an officer stopped to remove a dead deer from the roadway. Upon stopping, the police cruiser was struck by another deer, which ran onto the road and into the passenger side front door.

Multiple citations filed
2/20 – Police report multiple citations will be filed against a woman with a suspended driver’s license after she crashed into the rear of a vehicle operated by Patty Hyde of Huntingdon on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Hit-and-run
2/20 – Cheryl Bowser reported to police that her vehicle was struck while it was parked in the Burger King parking lot. Police said the responsible driver was operating a green Ford Explorer.

Residence theft
2/21 – Craig Leamer reported to police that someone ransacked his residence and stole his Gateway computer, sterling silver dining set and battery charger. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Criminal mischief
2/24 – While on routine patrol, Tyrone police noticed a suspicious man in the parking lot of the Choice store. Police said the man went behind Choice where he urinated on the dumpsters. Police intervened and the man became confrontational. He will be cited for disorderly conduct.

Digital camera stolen?
2/25 – Tyrone police received a report from a residence stating that she recently ordered a digital camera from Ebay. The item was delivered on Saturday and a neighbor reported seeing it, but the purchaser never received the item. Police are investigating.

Is there an animal in here?
2/25 – Tyrone police received a report from Sherry Reese stating that there may be some type of animal in her heating system. She told police she heard something “scratching” earlier. Responding officers heard nothing.

Scammed!
2/26 – Tyrone police report someone entered the home of an elderly woman and removed $400 in cash and a handicap placard. Police believes the incident was part of a scam.
