The 25th Annual Rotary Farm/City Day is fast approaching, and what a day it’s going to be! Rotary Club of Tyrone members are in the planning stages for this annual event, and they can’t wait for Saturday, October 4 to get here. Farm/City Day, which is typically held at Reservoir Park, is going to be held downtown this year, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers say the event was moved for this year only because the Borough of Tyrone is currently working on rebuilding Pavilion No. 1 at the park, and the event will return to Reservoir Park for next year’s festivities. This year’s Farm/City Day will be held in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, between 10th and 11th Streets. This autumn 2008 marks Tyrone Rotary’s 25th year of sponsoring Farm/City Day – it’s largest fundraising activity of the year. In celebration of 25 years, the new Farm/City Day T-shirt is now available for purchase at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office. For more information, contact Rose Black at 684-0736.
