Cat food fight
3/12 – State police in Hollidaysburg were called to a residence in Antis Township at 10:45 p.m. to investigate a report of harassment and simple assault.
Police said a 49-year-old Bellwood woman and her 48-year-old boyfriend became engaged in a verbal confrontation that eventually turned physical. Police said the man threw two, six-ounce cans of cat food at the girl, hitting her on the right forearm and left hand. She suffered a moderate bruise.
The man was arraigned before District Magistrate Fred Miller.

3/18 – State police in Hollidaysburg were called to milemarker 43 on Interstate 99 at 10:44 a.m. to investigate an accident.
Police said Wayne Stern of Martinsburg was southbund on state Route 99 when he became ill for unknown reasons and passed out. Police said the vehicle crossed the median and over the northbound before striking an embankment.
Stern was transported to Altoona Hospital for treatment.
