Florence B. Stiffler, 96, formerly of Johnstown, died Monday, May 5, 003 at 6:50 a.m. at the Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia where she had been a resident since 1996.
She was born October 21, 1906 in Bald Eagle, a daughter of John and Frances (Stimer) Gardner. She was married to Carlton C. Stiffler who died in 1961.
Surviving are two daughters, Marian Brewton of Oakland, Md., and Dorothy Berry of Mount Union. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and four step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons William and James and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Stiffler was a former member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with Jerry Gardner and Pastor Jeff Winstead officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
