Dean Albert Fagley, age 76, of Butler, died Wednesday morning at his residence after an illness.
He was born August 1, 1926 in Tyrone, the son of Walter and Anna (Ortman) Fagley.
On October 3, 1949, he married his first wife Phyllis, who preceded him in death on October 5, 1994 and on November 11, 1996, he married Irene Bywater Fagley who survives.
He also is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Fagley of Burler and Paul Fagley and his wife Kathy of Butler, two grandchildren, Robert Fagley of Pittsburg and Amanda Fagley of Butler and a number of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church.
Mr Fagley was a veteran of World War II serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He retired after 33 years of service from Armco Steel in Butler where he worked as a carpenter.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main Street in Prospect. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeffrey Curtis officiating.
Burial will be in the GreenLawn Burial Estates in Mount Chestnut.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church.
