Child care providers, parents, grandparents and others who work with young children are invited to participate in a workshop entitled “Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library” for early talkers (birth to age 2) and talkers (ages 2-3) to be held at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library on Thursday, July 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Child care providers who participate will receive two hours of DPW continuing education credit.
Discover the six pre-reading skills necessary to help children get ready to read. Learn what you can do to help infants, toddlers and preschoolers become aware of and comfortable with books and language. Discover books, rhymes and other age-appropriate resources that address these skills.
This free workshop was developed with funding from the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation and is provided by Altoona Area Public Library. Register by calling Tyrone-Snyder Public Library at 684-1133.
