A Warriors Mark woman escaped injury in an accident that occurred along SR 550, approximately 1/2 mile south of Stormstown in Halfmoon Township.
Police said Mary L. Bingham was southbound when she steered her vehicle off the west berm and struck a vehicle owned by Jeffrey L. Houtz of State College, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Police said after impact, Bingham lost control of the vehicle and as it skidded across the roadway, struck a ditch off the east side of the road.
The vehicle flipped over end-to-end, finally coming to rest on its wheels facing north in a field.
Damage was minor to Houtz’s vehicle. Bingham’s Nissan Altima sustained severe damage.
