The Tyrone Medical Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Cole, M.D., Internal Medicine, to its medical staff.
Dr. Cole is a graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine where he was an international health program participant. He completed studies in gastroenterology at the University of Hong Kong. He also attended the University of Western Australia where he studied infectious diseases.
In addition, Dr. Cole earned a master’s degree in public health from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed undergraduate studies at Birmingham Southern College.
Dr. Cole completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts and MetroWest Medical Center. He also worked as assistant director of Harvard University’s Health Professions Program for several summer terms.
Outside of his medical experience, Dr. Cole worked for a short time as an instructor at the historic Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.
Prior to his relocation to the Tyrone area, Dr. Cole was in clinical practice at the Community Clinic of Maui and Maui Medical Group. He also served as president and chief executive officer at the Maui Kama’aina Medical Group in Maui, Hawaii. In addition, Dr. Cole worked for a year as ship’s doctor for Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, on The Radisson Diamond based in Monaco.
Dr. Cole has joined the medical staff at Tyrone Hospital, with active privileges.
His memberships include the Yale Clubs of Hawaii and Boston. He is also a Yale externship sponsor. His leisure interests include foreign travel, photography, fine dining, and art.
