Holidaysburg state police
Police were called to the Tyrone Hospital Emergency Room Aug. 14 to interview a 32-year-old woman who was assaulted sometime between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Police said the woman refused to cooperate in the investigation.

Police are investigating the reported sexual assault of a 12-year-old Altoona girl by a 27-year-old man who is known to the victim. Police said the assault took place in June somewhere in Antis Township.
The investigation is continuing.

Police were called to the intersection of state Route 4015 and Riggles Gap Road in Antis Township at 2:16 p.m. yesterday to investigate an accident.
Police said Ann Betting of Altoona pulled from a stop sign and into the path of a vehicle operated by Kimberly Myers of Glasgow.
Myers was not injured in the mishap, but Betting was transported to Altoona Hospital.

Police arrested 23-year-old Joshua Michael Whitmoyer of Glasgow on driving under the influence charges following a routine traffic stop along Old SR 220, near Stadium Drive in Antis Township, at 2:08 a.m. Aug. 17.

A routine traffic stop in Snyder Township, along SR 4027 near the paper mill, at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 16 resulted in DUI charges against a 21-year-old Williamsburg man.
Police arrested Joseph Allen Saylor in the incident.
