In other YMCA news, the 2003-04 fall/winter program guide is in the process of being printed by the printing company for the YMCA.
The program guide should be available by the end of next week. However, the information is finalized and available at the front desk at the YMCA for those interested in obtaining it.
The Tyrone YMCA Dance Academy announced two new dance instructors, Bethany Miller of Bellwood and Abigail Park of Tyrone.
There is a scheduled open house at the dance studio today from 1-3 p.m. for those interested in meeting the new dance instructors and seeing what the dance programs have to offer.
Also, registration is in progress for the YMCA girls’ youth basketball program for girls in third through sixth grade.
Pre-registration is required at the YMCA, and the date and time to register ends on Friday, September 5 at noon.
Also needed for the girls’ youth basketball program are volunteers to help coach, referee, and sponsors for the league.
Anyone who is interested in learning more information about the girls’ youth basketball program, the 3-on-3 league or dance programs should call the YMCA at 684-2740 for more information or stop at the front desk.
