Tyrone Borough Police Chief reports Samuel F. Cannistraci and his wife, Nicole Lynn Vinca-Cannistraci, were arrested for domestic violence and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and related charges following an incident that occurred at 1:42 a.m. Sunday.
Police said during the altercation, the wife threw a butcher knife at Samuel Cannistraci, which struck him in the hip area. Police said the blade stuck in between three and four inches deep.
Police said the wife also has signs of physical abuse on her body, and she claimed her husband choked her and threw an entire butcher’s block full of knives at her.
Nicole Vinca-Cannistraci was placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail. Samuel Cannistraci was arrested persuant to a warrant issued in this matter on Monday. He was released on $30,000 unsecured bail.
