Tyrone police seek Halloween vandals and thieves

The Tyrone Police Department report that during the morning hours Wednesday and yesterday, several vehicles in the borough were damaged by pellet guns or possibly slingshots. Police said some vehicles had the windows broken and others had body damage.
Also yesterday, both a Yamaha WR250F dirt bike and a Yamaha Banshee ATV, both 2003 models, were stolen from a residence on West Ninth Street.
As of 5 p.m. yesterday, police said five vehicles had been damaged.
Residents are encouraged to be alert for suspicious activity and report it to police immediately. Residents are also urged to place moveable property such as bicycles, motorcycles and similar items inside a locked garage or in their homes.
