State Police report a vehicle accident late Sunday night in Antis Township. Steven Grassmyer of Bellwood was traveling east on Kristel Lane towards Commercial Envelope. His vehicle went under the front on an illegally parked Freuhauf trailer that was on the roadway in his lane of travel. The 29-year old man sustained a head injury and his vehicle suffered severe damage.

A 17-year old juvenile was stopped for a traffic violation as well as an equipment violation which resulted in the operator being charged with DUI and two juvenile passengers being charged with underage drinking. The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 Sunday morning at the intersection of State Route 865 and State Route 1001 in Antis Township.

A 53-year old Blandsburg woman suffered minor injuries in a one vehicle accident early Saturday morning. Bonnie Lee Phillips was traveling west on State Route 865 at which time she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway at that point the it struck a guiderail and then rolled over. The woman’s 1996 Chevy/Geo tracker suffered heavy damage.

A two vehicle accident on Friday afternoon caused minor injuries to one of the drivers. A vehicle operated by 29-year old Stephen Tekeli of Brockport was traveling north on State Route 8007 in Snyder Township. Also traveling north was 20-year old Jamie Lusebrink of Altoona. Lusebrink was ahead of Tekeli on the road and had to slow down due to traffic on the road. Tekeli vehicle was unable to stop and hit the rear of Lusebrink’s vehicle.
Neither Tekeli or three passengers in his truck were injured. Lusebrink suffered minor injuries. The truck had minor front end damage. Lusebrink’s Chevy Blazer sustained moderate rear end damage.

State Police reported a DUI crash on Route 453 in Snyder Township at 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 2. Thirty one-year old Allen Ray Saylor of Port Matilda lost control of his truck and hit a snowbank and the adjacent embankment causing damage to his truck. Saylor was found to be under the influence of alcohol after failing field sobriety tests and was placed into custody. He is facing fine and/or imprisonment as well as loss of license.

A van belonging to Leon Wilson of Flinton was damaged while parked along Route 453 in Snyder Township. Someone smashed every window, light and cut every leather seat inside the vehicle. The incident happened sometime between 2:30 p.m., Feb. 2 and 9 a.m., on Feb. 3.

A hit and run crash has been reported in Snyder Township. The incident happened sometime between 4:30 p.m., Jan. 26 and 1 p.m., Jan. 27 in an Alley off Poorman Street. The 2004 Hyundai Elantra owned by James and Carrie Davis of Tyrone was struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene undetected.

A storage shed located off of McFarland Road in Snyder Township was damaged in a case of criminal mischief dating back a month ago.
State Police report the shed belonging to Harold Miller, Sr. of Tyrone was damaged sometime between on Jan. 12 and 8 p.m. on Jan. 13.
