It’s not summer quite yet, but lately the weather sure feels like it.
According to Tyrone Area YMCA Camp Sun-N-Fun director Linda Klesius, enrollment at camp is already up this year, due to the warm weather.
Camp Sun-N-Fun is currently held at the Bellwood-Antis Community Pool.
Participants enjoy various activities and games which include: swim lessons taught by trained instructors, free swim time, sand activities, arts and crafts, sports, nature and much more.
Every week at camp is geared toward a specific theme, and the grand finale of an already exciting program is that every Friday there is a field trip to various places throughout the area.
It’s hard to believe, but a week of summer camp has already passed by. For those who don’t want to miss out on a fun summer experience, a full listing of future dates and field trips are as follows: week two, through June 18, Legion Park and bowling at Holiday Bowl; week three, June 21-25, Shavers Creek; week four, June 28 – July 2, trip to the movies; week five, July 5-9, Galactic Ice and week six, July 12-16, Lakemont Park.
