Winifred M. Reese, 90, of Epworth Manor, Tyrone and formerly of Warriors Mark, died June 14, 2004 at the Manor.
She was born February 28, 1914 at Rockwood Station, PA to the late Lillie Way and Frank Gross. She was married September 27, 1935 at Hollsopple, PA to Jacob E. Reese, Sr., who died June 19, 1989.
Surviving are: one daughter and two sons, Janet L. Woomer of Tyrone; Jacob E. Reese Jr. of RD, Warriors Mark and Larry R. Reese of Boalsburg. Also, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one brother, James R. Gross of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and three grandchildren.
She attended Halfmoon Christian Fellowship Church, Stormstown. She graduated from Port Matilda High School in 1933. She was a member of Halfmoon Grange for over 60 years, Halfmoon Senior Citizens and Warriors Mark-Franklin Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
The funeral services will be held June 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Bruce E. Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark with Pastor William Baughman officiating. The burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Halfmoon Twp.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no public viewing.
