Friday, July 9 starts activities for the northern Blair County Relay for Life to be held at Bellwood-Antis High School Memorial Stadium.
The American Cancer Society invites the public to join in the activities, games and fun. Survivors are still wanted as well.
Survivor registration is scheduled to begin at noon, and all survivors should register at the survivor tent upon arrival.
The survivor reception begins at 6 p.m., and the opening ceremony begins at 7 p.m. A survivor lap will immediately follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
An opportunity to honor a loved one’s battle with cancer will also be available during the activities. Luminaria are available for a suggested donation of $10. Luminaria can be placed in honor of those survivors who have fought cancer or are fighting cancer. They can also be placed to honor the memory of those no longer here.
To sponsor a luminaria, call the American Cancer Society.
A luminaria service is scheduled on July 9, beginning at 7 p.m., at the B-A Stadium.
